With a passion for "automating all the things," Peter enjoys looking at the bigger picture to create solutions for future challenges.
Peter Lanoie is a Principal Engineer at Triverus with 20+ years of experience in software engineering. With a historical focus on Microsoft stack web applications, he's also spent many years working with build systems, managing infrastructures, creating software delivery pipelines and "automating all the things." He enjoys looking at the bigger picture to create solutions for future challenges. He loves .Net and C# but enjoys branching out, having found recent excitement with Golang, and continues to expand his technical repertoire.
Prior to Triverus, Peter worked in industries including radio broadcasting, energy, health and safety, insurance, software tooling, and over a decade in education technology. In a previous life he worked as a drummer and radio DJ. After a short detour focusing on DevOps, he is now helping to build technology solutions.
When Peter isn't wrangling 0’s and 1’s, as a life-long aspiring mechanical engineer he likes to learn how things work and are manufactured. He has an underutilized wood shop, is learning 3D CAD modeling, and has a possibly unhealthy obsession with 3D printing. He grew up in a solar house on a subsistence farm in the rural woods of New Hampshire, but now lives in upstate New York with his family where he also enjoys tv, movies, DIY projects and keeping his dog entertained.
